Teeth whitening is a safe an effective way to quickly improve your smile, giving you a brighter more radiant smile in as little as a 60 minute procedure. Whitening is the ideal way to refresh teeth that have been stained with smoking, coffee drinking or certain foods over time.
At Beech Lane Dental Care we offer 2 types of teeth whitening treatments; our in-surgery Zoom teeth whitening system which give instant results and professional home teeth whitening kits that produce a gradual whitening effect over a period of about 2 weeks.
Zoom teeth whitening is a rapid light-activated whitening system that can improve the colour of your teeth by several shades in just over an hour. During the procedure your gums and lips are first protected with barriers and the whitening gel is applied to your teeth. This gel is activated by the Zoom lamp and gets to work by bleaching your teeth, which become gradually whiter during the procedure.
Fresh gel is applied every 15 minutes 3 more times.
During the procedure most patients relax and listen to some music and some feel so relaxed that they go to sleep!
After the procedure is complete your teeth will look several shades whiter and you can return to your everyday activities immediately afterwards.
All Zoom packages include a professional home teeth whitening kit with custom made whitening trays to help you keep on top of your teeth whitening program at home. This patient had Zoom teeth whitening and as you can see after a 1 hour procedure the difference in colour is dramatic.
Every Wednesday and Saturday at our practice you can take advantage of our special Zoom whitening offer where you can receive £100 discount on Zoom treatment and even £150 off if the treatment is carried out by the hygienist.
In addition to Zoom whitening we also offer professional home teeth whitening kits. We make custom whitening trays for your teeth and provide you with professional grade whitening gel. You then wear the trays with the gel at home every day for 14 days or until your teeth reach the desired colour. The whitening process is gradual and it usually takes 10-14 days to produce a dramatic noticeable whitening effect.

To maintain your teeth whitening results, practice good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing regularly. Avoid foods and drinks that can stain your teeth, such as coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco. Regular dental check-ups and cleanings can also help keep your smile bright.
Alternatives to professional teeth whitening include over-the-counter whitening products such as strips, gels, and toothpaste. However, these products generally offer less dramatic results compared to professional treatments. Veneers or bonding may also be options for those seeking to improve the appearance of their teeth.
Teeth whitening is most effective on extrinsic stains caused by food, drink, and smoking. It may be less effective on intrinsic stains, which are located inside the tooth. Our dentist can assess the type of stains on your teeth and recommend the best treatment option.
